Users can purchase oral hygiene products such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss through the Dental Care App. Users can read helpful articles for good oral hygiene under the “advices” screen. Family members’ oral hygiene habits can be logged and monitored through the “family” feature.
Dental Care App instructs users how to properly brush, get advice from a dentist to improve brushing habits, and store and keep important dental appointments. A timer feature tracks how long users brush floss, and rinse. A “smile score” can be achieved by using advice from dentists in the app and logging good brushing, rinsing, and flossing times.
The “smart tracker” timer allows users to time teeth and tongue brushing, flossing, and rinsing. One benefit is the ability to add factors that increase the time needed for healthy brushing, rinsing, and flossing such as coffee, alcohol, and soda consumption. Appointments and reminders can be stored in the calendar section, then given as notifications before the time occurs.
Before users can explore the app, they must enter a valid phone number to receive an access code. This requires the country code. The app’s suggested country code is +380, which could confuse U.S. residents who are unaware of the country code of +1. After the country code and phone number are entered, the app continually states it’s entered in the wrong format. A lot of the features need to be unlocked by logging in with a phone number, which is made difficult by the unclear format requirement.
